@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... they were a killer feature for me for a long time, but over time I used fewer and fewer of them and at some point I realized I no longer used them.
What was blocking me were those little helpers such say "USD to CZK", "inches to cm", but Ecosia recently introduced them, too.

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... if DDG works for you, just keep using it, no need to feel sorry about not using Ecosia. I think it's a great service with a good company behind it. Feature-wise I think DDG isn't worse than Ecosia at anything. Maybe one thing: I quite like the AI search in Ecosia. Well integrated, with fairly good answers given they're trying to make it as least resource hungry as possible. Duck.ai has always felt weird to me, more like a test ground to try out different third party models.

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... in the Czech Republic it's basically Google minus all the ad and AI crap. But I heard that for Germany they already use the search index they build together with Qwant, so maybe that's the reason why you aren't happy with the results?
Having a search index which isn't dependent on the US big tech is a positive step, but also a major undertaking.

@nprofile1q... jé, to si musím poslechnout. Před 20 lety jsem k němu chodil na výšce na kurz XML. Byl hrozně fajn. Tenkrát jsme ho měli díky té knížce za chodící legendu. 🙂
