College roommate lives overseas. Me and some buddies keep track of his mom since she lives alone

Yesterday one of the guys was concerned because he was supposed to link up with her via phone but wasn't able to. So I did a wellness check by sending a Large Meat Lovers pizza to her in rural Missouri via Uber Eats with lots of delivery instructions

Everything worked out. She's fine - just had her phone on silent

Saw a fox when I was getting the dogs fed this morning. Thankfully they didn't see him or breakfast wouldn't have gone so smoothly

Ranch garden still producing but slowing down. I did a bad job of weed control this year so being away for two weeks really let me beds get overgrown. Need to do a better job of that next time around

Well I managed to turn a whole fridge-drawer of tomatoes into a small jar of dried tomato dust

Had them in the pellet smoker for a couple hours and then in the convection oven to finish drying them out. Ran them through the coffee grinder this morning

Interested to see what we can do with easy tomato-flavored seasoning. Going to perhaps try mixing some in with turkey burgers this weekend

Might need to look into a dehydrator - that'd make this a lot more convenient
