I've been using the Murena GS6 Pro as my main device for a month now. My honest review is on my blog.

Removable battery, wireless charging, IP68, under-display fingerprint sensor, OLED 120Hz. Designed and assembled in Europe by Gigaset. EU energy label: energy class A, repairability class A, 55h battery endurance.

< 400€, with /e/OS on board. No Google inside.

Not enough, but that is just the beginning in my opinion.

As a multi-project Founder and entrepreneur for the past 30 years, the most fascinating thing I've been experiencing is the number of people who constantly explain to me that:
- what I am trying to do is impossible
- I should do differently
I must say I have difficulties to understand this behaviour without entering into some misanthropic considerations.

And thank you to the others for your trust.

See how /e/OS protects my device from tracking attempts!
Why mobile apps trackers are one of the most impactful threats regarding your privacy and your freedom: read our Privacy Guide at https://e.foundation/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/murena_white_paper_privacy.pdf

Elixir!
It's been in the air for a while: we're thinking about releasing the /e/OS browser to PC plateforms.
/e/OS browser is basically a degoogled version of Chromium, with privacy patches from ungoogled Chromium, Bromite and Cromite & specific settings. it's fast, efficient with no BS.
So here is "Elixir" aka /e/OS Browser for PC, here with first test builds for Linux and MacOS.
Not perfect yet, but we'd like to undertand if that can be useful for some

Do we need Google? no
Do we need Microsoft? no
Do we need Facebook? no

We had an Internet and Web life before them and it was great.

The whole situation with big techs today is totally artificial. It is a market incident. An historical singularity that won't last.

So I am repeating again, and again...

/e/OS is not designed to (supposedly, possibly, in the best case, if no 0-day exploit...) protect targeted people from security exploits.

What /e/OS is designed for is protecting users from the permanent data collection that dominates modern smartphones.
