I think it will be a weird coincidence of Weimar-like hyperinflation and industrialization on steroids. I suspect it will feel like we’re riding a rollercoaster with a jet engine attached to it.

My approach is to take practical steps for safety, security and happiness, but otherwise enjoy the ride. Luckily, I think getting some animals, gardening and farming sound fun, albeit potentially challenging.

Everyone here already knows about glass beads, but the first part of this quote is worth reflecting on.

I’m already seeing people high up in the AI space find that their hard work and knowledge/skillset moat is quickly eroding.

My take is that the 80 IQ approach, simple men, and farmers win in the end. I think survival means checking our ego, letting go of credentials and “prestigious” jobs, and asking ourselves what hard work needs to be done.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I generally do not like antibiotics, but it seems to have worked in my case as well. Apparently even just 200 mg of doxycycline is effective enough. I took a total of 600 mg over 3 days, despite the fact that the doctor told me to take it for 21 days. She was pretty clueless though.
