Is it tripping an RCD?

I ask, because my shower did this and it turned out to be a tiny amount of water ingress into the case from water spraying onto it. Good first thing to check when you open it up, before looking for more serious problems.

RtB would be perfectly fine as part of a properly thought out housing policy where:

1. The majority of housing is built by - or under the direct control of - local authorities.

2. That housing is offered for social, rental or sale.

3. RtB is available for social and rental tenants.

4. Money raised from rental and sale is ring-fenced for maintenance and for new builds to replace properties sold.

Two things that might be relevant:

A good few of the police officers deployed at demos are probably Special Constables (AKA Hobby Bobbies). This is a jolly, paid, jaunt for them.

The regulars are probably glad to be away from more demanding duties such as apprehending real (in some cases dangerous) criminals, or doing paperwork. They are probably on overtime, so it's a nice little earner.
