I am not actually a man called Nathan Fielder, but rather a transfeminine person called Xan. My avatar might be confusing to you if I am replying to a thread in a transfeminine context, or if you have previously followed me and were accustomed to a female avatar. Therefore, I have compiled a series of testimonials from long-time mutual followers to indicate that I am indeed a transfeminine individual; these testimonials are currently available in my header image.

If you are a fan of the Metroid Prime series, you may wholeheartedly agree with the idea that LLMs are basically Phazon.

• People leaving the tech industry are like the Chozo of Tallon IV, eschewing technology for a quieter life.

• Not all Chozo survived contact with the Leviathan Seed nor the Phazon which oozes out from it. Those that succumbed to such a fate are condemned to a tortured waking death from which only the Hatchling can free them.

• Phazon gives a euphoric feeling of power.

I think that at this point in my life, there is absolutely nothing that could ameliorate the feeling of alienation and isolation from tech. So long as I have never worked within, around, or for the major institutions, I will always remain an outsider, unworthy of consideration or interaction. I frequently ponder if this was due to growing up poor and going straight into tech, no school, no Harvard, no Stanford, or whatever else gets you into places.

Should I care?
