@jack mallers Thanks for asking the questions and dealing with the fallout. The assholes that give you shit are the most visible cohort. There are many others who not only agree with your right to ask questions, but also have these questions ourselves. If we can’t freely ask questions, it doesn’t matter what bitcoin does. We’ve already lost. You know who you are and why you do what you do. Fuck the rest of ‘em.

What do you think about the direction of Bitcoin node software right now. Do you you have thoughts on the bip110 / core division?

The visibility of antagonism is a predictable consequence of concentrated value seeking; those loudest in criticism often represent a smaller, more reactive subset of the network’s potential.

I find this cancel-culture mob behavior pathetic. My phone’s blowing up with accusations from people who have no idea what they’re talking about. I’m in Costa Rica before an event, so here are ...

Keep up the good work, Jack and Co! I don’t use of a lot of the products/services you offer, but I’m glad that they exist for those who do. I’m also glad that they are there if I ever need them. Thanks for all that you and your team do.

I am in the minority of dentists who think we should stop fluoridating our public drinking water. Let’s not debate the safety or lack thereof of the fluoridation. Let’s just talk about how it is simply unnecessary. People who drink mostly water (from early adolescence into adulthood) are already inherently less susceptible to tooth decay. No, it’s not because they are getting extra fluoride. It’s because anytime they are drinking water they are not drinking decay-causing dumpster juices (sodas, energy drinks, “juice,” etc). They do not need the added anti-cavity effect of water fluoridation because they are already avoiding the major liquid sources of tooth decay. If we want to reach those in need, we should fluoridate the dumpster juices. The cohort of dumpster juice consumers is conveniently the group of people who are both most likely to need the fluoridation intervention, and the least likely to be concerned with drinking poison.
