Thins the enemy numbers and also creates a fertile ideological garden for real libertarian ideas on the survivors, if they're smart enough to realize where their previous ideas got them (and the usual fondness of people to go for a different thing when the last one exploded on them)

Libertarians as a faction do not have the resources and manpower to enforce the NAP, so encouraging opposite authoritarian factions to expend themselves is the best play with the available hand.

In this case you shouldn't ask yourself "what would Himmel do?" but rather "what would Frieren do?" and the answer is kill all the demons, regardless of whether they pretend to be friendly.
