While I think this article is a little bit over the top and dramatic, it does raise some valid points about how, as fat people, we really can’t win.

I’ve had the “you cheated” comments and looks, I’ve also had the “I did it the HARD way” comments from people who lost weight without medication.

It’s all a form of ignorance in my opinion, rather than pure hate as this article argues.

And the best way around ignorance is to educate ☺️

Now that the crochet blanket is done, I’m focusing on #knitting my custom-designed Jarre jumper, before seeing him live again in Amsterdam in October \o/

The design is based on the artwork for Equinoxe, his 1978 stunner of an album.

The idea is that these watchers will be circling around the yoke of the jumper.

My son designed the pattern for the yoke so I hope it works 😅

Currently I’m in the boring Sea Of Stockinette™ body phase, 8 inches done, 8 inches to go 🙄

At least the sleeves are done already.

Me: sometimes I like to knit or crochet mindfully.

Her: what do you mean?

Me: have you noticed how I sometimes really slow down? That’s because I enjoy watching the yarn turn into stitches, mindful of every move.

Her: oh. I thought you slowed down because you’re just not very good at it.

Me: 😳

#crochet overlay mosaic bookcase blanket is complete!

Started 6 weeks ago, I worked on and off this, except the damn double border that I worked on solidly for the last three days!

I’m really happy with how this has turned out, it’s my first, big, complicated project.
