While this is a great talk by Jack Maller introducing the thought that PoW introduced an arrow of time, he also shits on Solana which sees using PoW as a clock. And use that to timestamp transactions at the speed of light.

BTC and SOL are not so different afterall.

I tried to book a bunch of servers. Cheap VPS in US central to test something.

4 of 5 failed to accept my company debit card.

They either blocked me right away but then went on writing me angry emails saying that I need to pay the generated invoice or get suspended while ignoring every support request that I sent to resolve the issue.

Or they asked me to send them a printout form with a copy of my physical card and my drivers license plus a signature stating that I’m okay with getting charged through that card by them.

One Hoster whitelisted me after a support request.

And the cheapest one just waved me through.

It would be so much easier if my company could just pay with Bitcoin. But if we do anything with crypto we get legal troubles and might get expelled.
