Anyone here tried to sleep on the floor?

Yes! My hubby and I have been sleeping on a shikibuton (mattress) with a kakebuton (quilt/doona) for years. We also don’t own a couch/sofa, dining table or chairs. We sit on the floor and use a small folding camping table for dining, laptop use, etc. Life in lotus on the floor is humble.

Although travelling can be interesting as most accommodations have soft tacos for bed and uncomfortable solid right angled chairs. So we usually resort to putting the quilt/doona on the floor and sleeping on the floor haha! Firm floor/ground is usually always somewhere within your accommodation and will never let you down for a good night’s sleep whilst travelling!

South East Asia is usually pretty great for firm bedding. Cheap flimsy thin mattresses are pretty abundant haha! You’re in the perfect place to try. Vietnam is great as well.

It does take a little while to adjust but 100000% worth it.
