I'll admit I came here looking for sats, and still am tbh, but it was off the back of wanting greater sovereignty by decentralized technology. It was a discussion on Bitchat that made me aware of Nostr.

I totally agree though, when all people use Nostr for is milking sats, it's damaging, shortermist and not a way to build community.

Sats are great, and certain people will just want to cream as many as possible, but ultimately I doubt it will dismantle Nostrs foundations.
