But yeah, seems paranoid mode becomes the “by default” mode.

I feel bad for the people who had their BTC stolen. And as a Coinkite customer (who luckily was paranoid) and security researcher I’m disappointed in Coinkite.

Travelling for work in the US, running into constant issues with debit/credit cards and being able to pay for things or withdraw money at an ATM.. Bought a gift card via Bitrefill with bitcoin turned out to be the easiest way.

To any intelligent being, there is no emotion more important than hope. Individually or collectively, we must hope that the future will be better than the past, that our offspring, and theirs after them, will be a bit closer to an ideal society, whatever our perception of that might be.

Hope is key. The future will be better than the past, or the present. Without this belief, there is only the self-indulgent, ultimately empty striving of the present.
