I think a man's happiness begins when he learns to tell whether a woman is speaking to him or merely thinking aloud.

There is a war for control over the human being, and family ties and natural identity are an obstacle to that control

Thank you for your compliment but even your point on persons in the EU, but I totally understand how the system is built legally and what I think nostr:nprofile1qqs2fmzl47w9ff62w0zx4nx436f03d6cea6hevd...

Ok, but just a friendly reminder to avoid any misunderstandings:

-Cyberspace isn't a magic shield. It doesn't insulate you from physical reality or state jurisdictions.

-The EU does not (and cannot) regulate a decentralized blockchain like bitcoin, nor does it penalize self-custody. Your signing device is safe in cyberspace.

-If you stay 100% on-chain and never touch the traditional financial system, the state won't even notice, nor can they do anything about it. ;)

-The EU doesn't regulate your signing device in cyberspace, it regulates the physical off-ramps when you interact with the real-world economy.

-The law might not reach international waters, but it’s waiting for you at the harbor.

That’s just how it works.

(PS. While the debate around natural law is very interesting, the state operates on positive law)

You are grossly misinformed or you just don't understand what's at stake here, or both. Just as taxation presumes a prior state ownership claim on individuals' productive output without genuine consen...

Your philosophical debate is pretty interesting, but my point was way simpler. I just wanted to clarify that there's no such thing as 'european data', it's about people physically in the EU, whether they're european or not.

I actually agree that Brussels' bureaucracy is a massive pain.

And yes: the state always tends to abuse its power.

Anyway, if you want to beat the system, you first need to understand how it's legally built.

In a physical sense they don't but in a legal sense they do. If you are dealing with data that was "created" by an EU entity (which lives in cyberspace) it's treated as European data by GDPR

There are no 'European bytes'. GDPR applies to people, not data. GDPR doesn't care about 'European data', it cares about people in the EU. If an American tourist is in Berlin, GDPR protects them. If an EU citizen moves to Tokyo, it doesn't. It's always about the physical location of the human being, not the nationality of the bytes, nor the bytes themselves.
