#asknostr has anybody developed a Nostr based guestbook for static sites? It's something that I thought I might try to implement on my site, and while I could probably just vibe code it, it'd prob make more sense to use a human written implementation if one already exists.

What's up strangers and fellow Nostr enthusiasts?

I'm really burnt out on my job. It's been a mess even since the interview process, and I'm not sure I'm even going to make it past Monday next week. I like the (theoretical) job description and the people there, but it's been a ride of shifting job descriptions, poor compensation, and missed/partial paychecks, and I think I've hit my limit. I'd do a tell all blog post, but lol, I think you guys would think I'm writing fiction at this point.

This afternoon after moving metaphorical mountains to get a thing finished after the second week things were implied that'd get better and that didn't, I took an early lunch break and left all my work stuff on site on the mental insurance I could just leave and never come back. I told my boss this morning that things really need to change. Though I doubt they will, as somebody who's usually a people pleaser, my very much not people pleasing conversation is about as much as a fair warning as they're going to get before things either get fixed or I quit Monday morning.

My previous more or less 'standard' job experience includes farm labor, a company that went bankrupt, and a company that was gutted by private equity. I've never both seen a company be so incompetent and never grown to despise a job like I have before now. The fact they're critical infrastructure is horrifying.

Just fed some sloppy cell phone scans of my handwriting into Claude and I'm throughly impressed. I like handwriting things (especially fiction, where I can type faster than my brain can write making for a less enjoyable writing experience). But handwriting adds another step, going from draft > revise > share to draft > transcribe > revise > share.

Had some decentish luck with other AIs, but they made enough mistakes that I found it better off manually transcribing than editing a mistake riddled document (mistakes by AI, the mistakes in my writing that the document is riddled with is what the revise process is for). But Claude was immaculate. Only a single mistake, mistaking a "D" for a "P". No other issues, and it even picked up on dashes and struck through content.

This'll probably also be confusing for some staunchly anti-AI people lol. In one sense, I'm writing purely human fully analog literature on physical paper (albeit literature of meh quality). Then I might start turning around and giving it to an AI. While I'm there I might as well even have it proofread it with me. I might have just crossed cypherpunk and luddite.

Been nearly a month since I had to leave for work before 6, the sun wasn't up yet like it was last time. Definitely slowly making its way towards fall.

Does make for a nice ride though, leaving just before the sun comes up and pulling into work during golden hour.
