Well, it is "that's how it is," for now.

There's a saying in bitcoin: "we're so early," and that's possibly where v4v music in this echo chamber is atm; there's always time to grow & I'm going to continue to churn out episodes exploring the v4v music catalog.

Re: the questions & answers, ty 😊 You personally boost the amount of sats you're able too. The last thing I'll add is that if *most* people boost a track only once( I've no way to know & would like some aggregated data), then that's a bad ROI for the artist (not picking, I understand where you personally are coming from with limited sats).

I believe it's 4% of listener's support/send value to *any* podcast based of #'s from Adam Curry(No Agenda); seems to be fairly accurate, though I don't know if OP3's are accurate & I really don't pay attention.

I think you're trying to understand why the other 96% do not support/send value, and the answer is nothing revealing ➡️ that's how it is. I don't have any epiphanies as to the "why." Here's a few ?'s:

Do you boost every track played on every v4v music podcast you listen to? Do you boost any track played on other v4v podcasts that play 1 v4v track during an episode? Do you boost the same track more than once? How do you determine that 123 is your value # for a track?

The term 'decentralized music' & the other shortened one, sound like a fad word to me, personally. Fads don't have longevity & I've stayed away from that terminology as best as I can & see and refer to it as independent music; it's more relatable, known, and is what it is. No need to create new labels or hyphenate things more, imo.

Then there's the whole sats/btc; it adds another layer of complexity for some. Bitcoin is fine, it doesn't care, it's a protocol and has no feelings. Bitcoiner's on the other hand either are too steep into their toxicity, arguing about implementations or lack there of, bitching about the influencers & suits, etc...and I've said to friends of mine, had I known of or seen the on-line commune of Bitcoin before "buying into it," I'd never have bought into it. Too loud, too aggressive, too cocky, just too much.

All this to say, it's really simple yet too complicated at the same time.

TL;DR, IMO, value-4-value music had a false start back when AC started his music show & a few reasons why. Now, FF, there are tiny tentacles doin' their own thing within this niche space. Maybe it'll organically grow, maybe it won't. I don't have a 🎱

Antenna Pod, while a great podcast listening app, is not PC 2.0 enabled, it's not boost enabled, neither is the Podhome app.

Podcast Guru is my go to, zero issues & all functionality I personally want.
