@nprofile1q... I'd file this under "arguments for public rubbish/recycling collection as superior to privatised services" myself. At least councils are required to be responsive and transparent (even if it's sometimes a mission to get them to act this way). Also, when you look at the resource misuse of multiple truck trips covering the same streets it really reinforces the case that overlapping provision is suboptimal. I think we have five different providers operating in my village and it does my head in. Everything ends up at the same tip.

It's a capital crime and the natural consequences for the corporations responsible should be extinction. Bring back the corporate death penalty.
