just gonna make it clear here that as i follow more xmr people, im not anti btc or an xmr maxi or some shit

both are great for their own reasons, bitcoin lightning is also really cool, i dont really see a "better" option, completely depends on the use

like for mullvad or something id pay in lightning (or sometimes just on chain), for hormones from grey markets id use xmr for the added protection, its completely within your choice of how you do things

it is very opinionated so theres some software you will want to remove, i do feel like the dev is trying to target it at everyone though, when it really only targets one demographic

it's for those who want an AI first OS which has a decent range of preinstalled software, and for those who don't exactly care if everything is OSS. i wouldn't recommend it for beginners, but thats just me. id recommend distros familiar to some, like kde fedora, linux mint, etc. WMs really aren't for beginners, i get why DHH wont want a DE and thats completely his opinions (its an opinionated distro, duh)

people do call it just dotfiles, id say its more, it really is a full distro based off of arch, theres a ton of pre customization but its not just dotfiles

i do like the AI approach when a process crashes, being able to ask AI why the process may have crashed, that's pretty neat, and the omarchy skill makes AI integration much nicer

tldr omarchy is indeed a distro unlike what some may think, i dont think its exactly beginner friendly though the AI integration sure makes it easier for beginners should something go wrong, the omarchy skill makes it easier for someone to prompt instead of explaining everything or the AI doing more work than it needs. DHH tries to make it out that omarchy is for everyone but i wouldnt recommend it for everyone

imgur is blocked in the uk, please upload it to nostr separately, censorship resistant platforms will only work when people use it properly and not linking from other platforms where its just pure censorship of every form
