There is ostensibly a "proof-of-life" photo with McConnell and his wife and a very recent news paper with a dateable sports photo

In no order:

1) I can find no evidence that Elaine Chow has returned from China, but there are numerous "“The Senator’s health did not warrant an immediate return to the US,” a spokesperson for Chao told multiple outlets" statements

2) the news paper is oddly placed: it's upside down relative to how McConnell would have it to read, but right-side up for how the photo viewer needs to see it and make sense of it

3) after all McConnell was said to have been through initially, he looks god-damn good in the photo of "today"

Finally the initial AP statement could have been ghost-written by me and still be no "proof-of-life"

I'm betting some #ImportantMastodonInfluencer complained to your instance's moderators and called in a few IOUs

I've found #Mastodon #Moderation to be opaque, ill-defined, highly subjective, and utterly without any second-chance recourse

To look at your instance, it's very small (201 monthly active users) and apparently entirely the property of one individual who I shall leave unnamed

And see: "Thoughtful participation and discussion welcome."

All of which means nothing, depending on who calls the shots
