Contrary to popular belief, marriage can be difficult, exhausting, and deeply unfulfilling.

If your algo or surroundings are convincing you otherwise, just know that there are very unhappy couples out there and they are living miserable lives together.

They don’t often talk about it as loudly as those who are happy though because they know how much society pressures people to pretend everything is fine.

But if you look, you will start to see it everywhere.
Most women are not perfect partners and most men are not devoted husbands. People can hurt, betray, disappoint, and fail each other.

There are a lot of really unhappy people out there.
You can end up with the wrong person even if you’re willing to look and put in the effort it takes to sustain a life with someone who ultimately doesn’t want the same things as you.

And the truth is, both types of experiences happen. Some people find marriage deeply fulfilling and build amazing lives together, while others experience disappointment, loneliness, betrayal, or misery. Neither experience is universal, and neither should be treated as the only reality.
