@nprofile1q... Why is it so hard for US companies to just raise the base price when they (think they) need more money for a thing/service in order for it to be sustainable/profitable?

Instead all these stupid “additional charge” that are almost impossible to properly account for as a customer.

Coming from Europe this is one of my main gripes when purchasing things/services in the US.

Just finished Picks & Shovels yesterday (great book, and it had me squealing at all the geek history tidbits/references, and made me miss the Mission…or at least the Mission of days past…) so the universe was showing its sense of humor having me cross paths with you on the same day. 😄
