I agree. However, if you have serrated edges you can touch them up with a spyderco sharpmaker. The intention for serrations is to create distance between the actual cutting edge(s) and the outermost apex so it preserves the cutting edge(s) while the points of serrations can dull without degrading cutting performance (think serrated steak knives on ceramic plates). I’m with you though. For my EDC, straight edge is the way.

I’ve had a couple 3v blades. The first one I didn’t own long enough to appreciate. I have a Demko ad20.5 tanto in 3v which I’ve sharpened and used a ton. Took a really nice edge and is holding up great.
