I would love if there was an anti-spam measure that does not take away from decentralization and censorship-resistance. But I have yet to see one, apart from the fee-system that we already have in bitcoin. I have very low hopes of something better being invented. But I will keep my eyes peeled.

I don't really see a that solution is possible without sacrificing decentralization and/or uncensorablity. And that I am not willing to do. I am quite certain that fees are going up at some stage, and that will solve the problem. Bip110 is throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

But it is also super energy efficient. Features that do not contribute to survival are dropped pretty quickly. And since this is an almost universa humanl feature it must have contributed to our survival at some point.
