It's just that the app is isolated by Android sandbox. That is already way more difficult to bypass. The signer app doesn't load external code such as a media player. So no the signer app has way less chance to have an exploit.
Changing the text of the post would change the signature. They could do it before the signer prompts but clients changing what a user input is not good practice.
