So, still curious about your views on local honey, eggs from "vegetarian! fed" chickens (LOL, poor things, what a miserable life!), etc... So, do you force animals into being untrue to their nature like that? Do you tty to prevent bees from working? Not allow pigs to root in the ground and clear brambles?

I'll stick with other folks that allow animals to remain true to their natures, and keep eating like God designed us. After all, not aware of any long lasting cultures in history that were vegan or refused to eat or work with any animals...maybe you can educate me on that?

Whew! Lots of wood feeding. I have never regretted building a rocket mass heater in our living room when we vuilt the house 3 years ago. After 3 winters even my wife agrees it is easy to light and usually in northern Missouri winters every other day is enough for our ~1760sqft ICF house. No furnace nor central air, and we use about 1/3 cord of wood per winter. Maybe less unless it is a relatively rough one. At $10/bundle(about 1/3 cord) from a local Amish sawmill that os our primary heating. We do have a wall propane heater, and cook and heat water with propane and need to fill our 500 gallon tank about every 10-11 months so it doean't go below 20% or over 70/80%.
Even when the temps are single digits or below zero for several days, we may just have a fire 1-2 times per day as folks desire. We have never used over 1/3 cord a year.

😂 just keep on consuming the slop you were taught in college. You might also actually go out to a farm and watch the poisons they spray on those fields. Watch the tilling and see the animals fleeing too. I know their bodies provide the nutrients for that way of farming, seen it oftwn with my own eyes, but, you do you and enjoy your veggies. Freedom is a wonderful thing! I'll atick with local beef and eggs and honey as much as possible.
Curiously, do you also feel that eating honey is harming the bees? What about forcing chixkens on a vegetarian diet when they are insectivores? Just curious where you draw the line on forcing others to accede to your personal beliefs...

Pallas, have you ever seen how modern farming works? The poisons sprayed by the truckload on fields, the disruption of the soil structure, the millions of insects, birds, small vertabrates slaughtered by the tilling, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, etc? It may be easier to say killing a cow is bad, but what about the millions or billions of lives lost for that acre of corn or beans? Who really kills more for their food?

Commercial scale farming these days is destructive, so I hope you are only eating stuff from your garden or your neighbor's garden, with the sentiments you claim to feel... 😉
