✝️ Your work, O Lord, shall prosper in my hands. May You bless my efforts, guide my steps, and grant me success according to Your will. Amen.

After Markus was attacked and left for dead on his own farm, he somehow survived the brutality that was meant to take his life.

But the nightmare did not end there.

As Markus fought for his life in the hospital, his brother rushed to be by his side. Along the way, the same men who had attacked Markus opened fire on him, shooting at him multiple times.

And then he disappeared.

For two long weeks, his family has been living in unbearable uncertainty. No phone call. No ransom demand. No message. No explanation.

They don't know whether he is alive or dead.

Imagine waking up every morning wondering whether your brother is still somewhere crying for help, while you have no way of finding him. Imagine the pain of not even having a grave to mourn at, because you don't know what happened to him.

This is the kind of fear and suffering that many families are facing.

Please remember Markus, his missing brother, and their entire family in your prayers. May God reveal the truth, protect the missing, comfort the grieving, and bring an end to this violence.

The wife of the late Mr. Fwangshak Dawuk, who was tragically killed on August 9 by the Nigerian Army in Jakatai community, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, has given birth to a beautiful baby boy.

In the midst of unimaginable pain, grief, and tears, a new life has arrived.

This child was born into a world where his father is no longer here to hold him, hear his first cry, or whisper his name. He will grow up hearing stories about the father he never had the chance to know.

Yet, even in the shadow of death, life has spoken.

May this precious baby boy be a reminder that even when we face deep sorrow, God can still bring forth hope. May the Lord comfort his mother, strengthen the family, and protect this child all the days of his life.

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” — Psalm 30:5

DOES FORGIVING SOMEONE MEAN FORGETTING WHAT THEY DID?

Whenever a topic around forgiveness is being discussed, we often hear an expression like: ‘forgive and forget.’ But what does it really mean to forgive and forget? Does forgiving an offender mean forgetting the injury the offender has caused us?

While forgiveness is encouraged, it does not always mean forgetting or erasing memories of part hurts. Memory is a function of the human mind and most often, memory cannot easily be controlled. Our capacity to remember past events including the offences done against us is a fundamental part of being human.

However, in relation to forgiveness, while we may not 'forget' in the literal sense what an offender has done to us, forgiving the offender allows us to 'remember' the hurts with a heart freed from anger and a spirit at peace. So, to forgive and forget means to remember the hurts but this time around, without feelings of revenge, resentment or anger but with a heart transformed by love and mercy.

When we are told to forgive and forget, it means changing how we relate to past hurtful memories. It is about releasing the grip of bitterness and choosing love. The goal of forgiveness is not to forget but to heal. It may not mean wiping memories clean; it is about freeing our hearts from anger and finding peace.

Heavenly Father,
We lift to You every home that is hurting.
Heal every broken marriage where reconciliation is still possible.
Soften hearts that have grown cold.
Restore the trust that has been broken.
And teach husband and wife to love one another again with Your grace, patience, and forgiveness.
