And based on real events, after ghazali, Philosophy remained progressing upwards in sufi, falasifa and mutakallimin (trads: ashari maturidis) every circle. So my or your or anyone's comprehension of ghazali's literature and conclusion that it affected negatively, doesnt hold any weight and contradicts real history.

Generally Critics of capitalism dont understand it completely and critics of socialism dont understand it... and majority of their understanding comes from their foundation value which is liberty for cap, and equality for socialism. Its more about first premises that people form understanding on.
