Radiation is also not a huge issue - these things are planned for low earth orbit, so plenty of shielding from the earth's magnetic field. Same domain as the ISS in that regard.
(None of this is me saying its a good idea, if nothing else all those satellites would wreck the night sky for astronomy, more so than is already being done 😞 )
@nprofile1q... I remember, pre-pandemic, when there was a discussion about Sustained Engineering taking ownership of BiRP as part of the sunsetting of it (aka, Ya Boi here being in charge of changes/fixes landing).
Since then I changed roles twice, got yeet'd, took 2 years off, and.. it carries on as before...
On reflection Late Gen-X/Early Millennials have had such a weird experience; - Born at the right time to age into computers in the home - learnt how they worked because you had to know things like file systems etc - Got to experience the internet in its more wild and free state
and now get to watch as the internet locks down, as devices lock down, and the 'home computer' goes away replaced by "Devices", with cost increases due to AI really killing it off.
@nprofile1q... "that's either nothing, or I'm about to be murdered in my sleep, either way the problem solves itself..." *rolls over and goes back to sleep*
