@nprofile1q... and admittedly they're 10 dollar words and most people will think you sound douchey if you use them, but you could also say "I'm a polymath" or "I'm a polyhistor" (wikipedia tells me that's a correct form though I don't think anyone will believe you)

I mean, I don't want to say "I'm a polymath" but I find it infinitely more preferable to "I'm a content creator 🤪"

@nprofile1q... I ALMOST understand using that word (the "c-word") if you do multiple forms of media or something (like videos AND short stories AND comics or something) but at the same time if you don't have enough space to specify exactly what you mean, why not just use "(various) media"

Like yes ideally I get paid for stories I publish or something (or at least I submit to paying markets most of the time) but calling it "content" feels icky. Would saying it sounds "too capitalistic" make sense?

I hate webp so much.
No one uses it.
no one supports it! And it's been years, the support is not suddenly gonna show up!

My brother said webp was google's idea. If so why can't they abandon it like virtually every other project at their company?

(And I have an extension that is supposed to auto-covert webps, it doesn't appear to work...)

@nprofile1q... yes and when the person migrates accounts the note follows them (I should probably edit to add that)

For example I have a note about you and here's what the field says post-migration:
"This user moved from [Handle] [@] weesecake.social, here were your previous notes about them:
My friend!"

So it doesn't work if they idk make a gamedev alt or something but don't migrate the account but it's useful.

I used to store birthdays in here then realized calendars are a much better way to do it

Remember: Mastodon has a notes field for profiles afaik they are not shared with the other person (I imagine your admin might be able to see them though but do NOT quote me on that)

You can do things like:

Write down that this person is older than you by 3 years
Write down this person's favorite color
Write down the names of their pets
Write down the grievances and judgments you have with them

1- You remember RSS feeds exist
2- While "Simple" in design, it doesn't feel like you're half-done, it feels like you were like "I want my site to be simple and easy to use, even if I don't have javascript snowflakes*"
