Props to the devs for spending almost 2 years trying to solve a bug that wasy even their fault. Just imagine that, 2 years! And they had to send Nvidia a PC for that to happen.

@nprofile1q... ouch, thereβs cheaper flip phones alternatives at 1/4 of that price last time I checked. This is the price of a decent-ish smartphone

pretty cool, I think this is the tech companies should be embracing, but hard for them to profit on it. Need a thing? print it at home! most of friction still is finding models of a thing you need to print, especially for people who don't know how to do the 3D models.

@nprofile1q... Unsure, I would say yes, but I haven't seen benchmarks comparisons of similar things on Godot and Unity. Let's imagine a simple 3D game, what would require less specs, probably Godot yes, less boilerplate and systems.
The era of custom/lightweight game engines is starting again either we like it or not. The average system spec will go down in the next few years. But 4GB VRAM is still plenty for most stuff, PS4 has a total of 8GB (main and video) for everything so this is not a doom scenario.
