Wrote a new blog post about something I’ve been thinking about, it seems Software developers are anxious and burning out over the current state of tech. Dunno, could be wrong ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ https://www.david-amador.com/2026/10/software-developers-are-anxious-and-burning-out-over-state-of-tech/
Valve is out there making software to run Windows games on Linux with 0 changes from devs, translating completely different apis on the fly with matching, or above performance. I would not bet on a performance contest even as a joke.
😂 Valve was like “hold my crowbar”

Back in school, a History teacher would often send us homework that required going to a library to research (yeah before internet!), most often we were a bit lazy and did surface search, first hit or just asked the librarian.
"Couldn't find it!" / "I just have that one reference!"
She once scolded us during a presentation "you kids are losing the skills for researching information".

took some time to setup Godot C++ module system to get it to run my own C++ code instead of only gdScript, and I'm finding myself "more at home" now, the convenience of a powerful editor, and I can still use GDscript on nodes if I want to. might be my optimal balance here.
I don't think they ever invented another programming language that feels as cozy as C, simpler time, just a text editor, not a lot of keywords, infinite possibility.
I've had a MX ERGO trackball mouse for 6 and half years now, battery still holds for weeks with heavy daily usage, very comfortable, just requires a bit more maintenance then regular ones due to trackball dust accumulation. one of the best mouse I ever got.
Yay it’s alive, leaving cable management for later as I wanted to first try if it works ok. Also still unsure if I’ll leave it vertical or horizontal, gotta test thermals first I guess but I do li...
guess which idiot didn't noticed only one stick of RAM was being detected after this case move, and has been running on single-channel since August. this time I can't blame Windows.
Firefox updated to the rounded tabs, I don't dislike it visually, but it's making my mouse muscle memory aiming precision go wonky, not a big fan, although I'm sure I'll adapt.
