California just approved "balcony solar" starting January 1st so signed up with Bright Saver and reserved a kit that promises to be certified for CA use. I plan to get a 360W kit.

I already have about that same wattage in solar panels, but they are designed for portable use and not for plugging into house power, and primarily for charging batteries.

#PhotoOfTheDay Let's do another old selfie here to get it out of the way, but this photo is really about the sign which I always thought was cool. Anything related to Lat/Long, coordinates, etc. always gets my interest.

Taken in Lincoln City on the Oregon coast. They had signs in both direction on the highway in and out of town here,. Both vanished over the years, taken out by errant drivers AFAIK... But last year they put up a new sign that I was glad to see.

We finished ST: SNW season 4 last night. As has become tradition, the newest season was a mixed bag that included a lot of what I call "novelty" episodes which personally I don't always love. (Hollywood insiders probably have their own term for them.) But to their credit they do maintain character development in those episodes during this season.

There's always been enough good in the show that I always look forward to it. We'll see if they narrow the focus on the shorter final season.

It's #Caturday and Yama loves churus, or maybe I should say Yama loves pretty much any treato she's given. She gets one of these a day (as well as a "purr pop") and she Is suddenly very aware of what time it is if there is food involved.

Sitting in a waiting room in Sacramento. Projected wait time while my wife undergoes her PET scan = 90-120 minutes. Ugh.

I'm just thankful that they called in the guy that was blaring a video on his goddam phone while waiting...

Not looking forward to what will likely be a couple of hours of dealing with Friday commute traffic to get home.

This morning my wife was prompted to upgrade her MBP to #MacOS 27. She approved as usual & when her internal drive's remaining 100GB of free space was deemed insufficient, I was forced to assist when the only resolution was to then re-install the old OS, and restore her computer from Time Machine backup.

Why it would need to get to the point of having to blow away everything and reinstall it without checking for enough drive space first is utterly beyond me. Absolutely horrible.
