Yeah I don't think it's a deliberate straw man argument, but it's still a straw man argument. Objectively I'm pretty sure you can prove a keyboard is in no way ...

I don't think it is a straw man. the comparison to keyboard brands is kinda stupid but the point still stands though.

I'd have compared it to syntax completion and method/function/header generators in IDEs that have been around for decades by now though.

Anyone with a #Baidu Cloud account or a +86 phone number (needed for creating an account) attending #easterhegg2026 by change?

I need some files from a share downloaded for my electronic function generator (the vendor only provides the files through a baidu cloud share and - well - they sell it outside of china but apparently only allow people with a baidu cloud account aka. mainland china phone number to download the drivers and software) :/

No they didn't, but they're the ones you got the license for the "royalty free" AV1 from. So if that license is invalid and you get in trouble because of that - well guess whom you're able to sue for damages.

That's how the system is supposed to work at least. In practice you need to have the $$$ for a lawsuit....

they did "the thing". AND finally it also needs to be enforceable.

(Also it needs to make financial sense to do all of this...)

The only ones affected (at first and primarily) are the org that said it is royalty free (as everyone could sue them for damages as they violated the deal you had with them (more or less) as well as big platforms to "set an example".
