Thats awesome. What kind of hammock was it?

Back when I discovered this, I used an ENO Double hammock. Now I’ve upgraded to a Hennessy Hammock 4Season Explorer XL. Same basic design as the Mexican hammock that you are describing, (which, by the way, I'm Mexican and I've slept in that kind of hammock multiple times!) just nylon instead of woven. Also, the Hennessy has a light, removable insulation panel that I just leave on all the time. Love it. People think I’m crazy when I tell them I sleep in a hammock every day, so I’m thrilled to see that more people are seeing the benefits.

Thats awesome, so it insulated at the bottom? A fellow hammock sleeper gets instant followed.

A Mexican net hammock has done more for my sleep and my living space than any mattress I ever owned. The woven net cradles the body so contact pressure spreads across every inch of skin. It folds away...

You guys are going to have to forgive me for this long, rambling note, but this is the first time I have ever seen a discussion about hammocks being good for your back.

I started sleeping in a hammock pretty much by accident when there were too many guests at my home and nowhere for me to sleep. All of a sudden I realized that a years-long back problem that I have went away by sleeping in a hammock. I couldn't believe it, and I can't find any kind of medical information to back this up other than my own experience. Love hammocks. Will never sleep in a bed again if I don't have to.
