Something that’s been on my mind lately when thinking about multi-planetary life and #Bitcoin:
Light (and therefore any digital data) takes anywhere from 3 to 22 minutes to travel between Earth and Mars. That’s longer than Bitcoin’s ~10-minute block interval.
Because of this fundamental latency, a single, synchronized blockchain simply couldn’t stay coherent across planets—the network would constantly fracture into competing chains.
Has anyone explored this problem (and potential solutions) in depth?

Listening to @Peter McCormack lately talk about the 🇬🇧 sliding into third-world territory… and then looking at 🇨🇦, it’s exactly the same script.

Have we officially reached peak society dumbism?

Our politicians have no clue what they’re doing.

One of my favorite recent example:

We’re now hitting record 2.2 million food bank visits every single month — double what it was just six years ago. People are struggling hard, inflation destroyed what little they had left.

Their big solution?

Throw $30 a week at folks already below minimum wage…and wait for it…financed by printing more money!

How can they be this ignorant and think that’s going to fix anything?
How the hell did we get here?

Has civilization peaked?

What really boggles my mind is wondering: Is this rock bottom?

Does it start getting better after this?

Or can the 🤡 show keep running even longer and we’re about to get absolutely fu*%+?
