So good news and bad news. The bad news is I think the Sarah set was causing my entire computer to crash, most likely due to how dxvk is basically limit removing on vram usage. The good news is I re...

I did do all the routine stuff of course, check for driver updates, check the crash log, run a system scan and repair system errors.

I only know it was specifically SFM related because the crash was consistent. Every time I opened up one of my specific scenes while my rendering settings were in it would crash.

I can run some highly intensive games like Doom: The Dark Ages for hours with no issue, so it wasn't my computer overheating.

So good news and bad news.

The bad news is I think the Sarah set was causing my entire computer to crash, most likely due to how dxvk is basically limit removing on vram usage.

The good news is I removed some rendering settings, the set is mostly unaffected, and now it seems to be rendering without crashing. Also it doesn't seem to be an issue with my hardware.

Random thought: I refuse to acknowledge that exploring a subject in art is because you encourage it or are otherwise ok with it, especially sensitive and dark subjects.

I've played dark as fuck horror games. Made art that involves gratuitous subjects. Doesn't mean I wanna do that shit IRL.

You don't necessarily need a point you're trying to make when you make art. Sometimes it's just a subject that fascinates you and you're using a medium like art say with 3D models to understand it yourself.
