If you're looking for a great resource to help onboard merchants to Bitcoin, check out bitcoin.rocks/business/kit

They've done a great job making the case for why Bitcoin is good for business.

They've also put together a great brochure you can print at home (or they'll send you a few for free). I've taken them to some local farmer's markets and have been surprised at how open-minded many merchants are to the idea.

Most small merchants I’ve come across have already seen Bitcoin pop up in apps like CashApp but just haven’t taken the time to look into it.

My Weekend Farmer’s Market Agenda:

1) Print some “Bitcoin is good for business” brochures from @bitcoin.rocks
2) Grab some cool signs and stickers from @NoWasteBTCsigns
3) Visit your local farmer’s market and strike up some friendly conversations with a few merchants.
4) Give them a brochure & a sticker.
5 Come back next week to see if they have any questions.

Tips: Don’t be pushy. Sometimes just planting the seed is enough for them to take it more seriously. Be mindful of other customers looking to buy things & buy something yourself if you want. I like to go for the smaller merchants who have more time for conversation.

Bonus: Order a free set of “Got Inflation? Save in Bitcoin” yard signs and stake them somewhere for the people to see.

Feeling very bullish after making the rounds at my local Farmer’s market today talking to various merchants about how Bitcoin is good for business.

Everyone we talked to was open to the idea of accepting Bitcoin as payment and a few had actually already looked into it!

Thanks to the @bitcoin.rocks team for putting together a fantastic brochure 🧡

Where I come from, farmers markets are very statist and tied to banks and the USDA. Hoping the ones you are trying to convert aren't. Because otherwise, their local govts will be trying to get their hands all over it.

I’ve read many Bitcoin books over the years and am still pleasantly surprised to learn new things from beginner level introductory books.

While reading “Intro to Bitcoin” by Erin Malone I learned what a peaker plant was, how costly they are to taxpayers and how terrible they are for the environment.

Bitcoin mining incentivizes new investments in cheap, renewable energy sources that can greatly reduce & eventually eliminate the need for these peaker plants.

I found this little library in Springfield, Virginia near Lake Accotink Park. It must have been a popular one as it was jam packed with books.

I hope someone picks up this copy of Decrypting Money and learns a thing or two about the best money humans have ever discovered.

The wind was just windy enough to send my kite into the sky this evening. I spent about a couple of hours on the National Mall, moving around to find the windiest spot.

Just after the sun set, a guy visiting DC from Toronto for the first time walked up to me with his sister and asked to fly my kite. I was happy to oblige and I asked if he’d heard of #Bitcoin. I was surprised to hear he had learned of it in a finance class but it was clear he had only scratched the surface.

We chatted for a few minutes as the wind died down and the kite descended into a gentle nosedive. I asked if he read books & then gave him a copy of Decrypting Money I brought with me.

Happy Reading kind stranger. It was a pleasure meeting you! #BitcoinBookDrop
