i finished the basket last night.

took around eleven yards, which wasnt a problem cos i didnt tie off the end when i got to eight, no worries in simply more twisting as needed.

feeling very lucky that the basket i just finished is my favorite one yet

also, when i picked it up while it was full of clay baking beads it was the weight of a turtle

and that pleased me

i didnt know a turtle was a weight of measurement until that happened

grateful to be taught that by the basket

barely spoke today, just hours and hours and hours in tiny basket world for which im grateful

the noam chomsky thing, his words in the epstein emails, has been too much of a bummer to put words towards it for days. i just had really assumed he was gentle and kind almost all of my life. i never would have guessed he thought so poorly of children and women.

otherwise, i am glad it is so gently and softly snowing and while the air is crisp, it isnt freezing my fingers.
