I've found from working in tech for a while that we re-invent the wheel every tech generation, the paradigms rarely change, but we want our names on it, and we don't want to understand / we want a different abstraction, we aren't faced with the same challenges as what came before. So we smash the castle down in frustration and rebuild the wheel again.

any *nix can be a powerful footgun, making a computer predict what you want without the bandwidth to understand the implications of the changes made (a problem before LLM coding) makes for a really big foot! Maybe it's time to switch to OpenBSD or Alpine linux for desktop 🦶
