I don’t have anything important to add to this conversation either. I’m just intrigued by the idea of someone contemporary who uses Phlegmatic accurately to describe themselves. Only person I’m familiar with who uses the four humors is Rudolf Steiner of 100 years ago.

Dr.Robert Gilbert of the Vesica Institute teaches a course specifically on the Six Basic Exercises (combined with insights from other traditions). One of the key things he emphasized was that by “basic” it is not meant that they are less advanced to be bypassed by the “advanced” as some might see themselves. More that they are foundational for higher work. So in Gilbert’s course the combined exercises he calls the “essential” exercises.

I had benefited from the basic exercises before I had begun any structured classes in any esoteric discipline. The classes from Gilbert certainly helped take it farther but I’m just beginning (2years since first Reiki class this week).

The only thing we have here is free will. Take that away and this world is nonsense. Plus personal experience is magic. If we had to stay in the eternal broth we would have been there now and not here

I didn’t say anything about taking away freewill or staying undifferentiated from the One. We had to separate to manifest our individual beings. I also didn’t give any timeframe. The return is a longer journey than we can fathom or possibly even parabolic so that it’s an infinite journey. Things seemingly opposite can both be true if understood correctly.

It is another psyop based on the assumption of a collective mind. Economic or mind we reject collective. The life on this material earth is as individuals not collective. Bugs are collective minds we ...

We think pretty closely on this but I’d like you to consider something from my understanding of cosmology. We were once a collective intelligence. Individuation is required for freewill. The purpose of freewill is to freely return to the One. On the journey back to the One, the source of everything, we are returning to a collective consciousness with all creation, physical and above.

At the center of everything is the One. Center yourself and use your best judgment when you can join collective efforts. Collectivism itself is not an evil.

I agree that God can and will turn evil deeds into good fruit in time, I cannot accept “materialism is just a phase humanity needs” or “not consider materialism bad” because that logic destroy...

To provide some clarity on the quote, Steiner is using some Manichean philosophy. Essentially Manicheanism is about redeeming evil and has a relevant understanding of evil: All evil is misplaced good. Take materialism, the people practicing it don’t see it as evil but as attempting to pursue material goals they see value in.

Yes that’s true the ideas matter most But Humans often times seek to identify with the person behind the idea. They want to know who they put their trust in. So a real identity helps to create bette...

That is because they are delegating the responsibility of understanding the idea to the person they are getting the idea from. No one can be an expert in all things, but we often play the telephone game with understanding concepts. Also there can be a solid compromise where one uses a pseudonym but keeps it unchained for a long time across platforms. I’ve used the same profile pic and name for nearly 10 years. People know me yet don’t have a clue what my real name is or anything personal I’ve not chosen to share with them.

Sure, unless someone actually cares to connect the dots. Pseudonyms are just aliases for the lazy or the paranoid—either way, they’re still tied to the real you, just with a fancy hat. [1] Join the discussion: https://townstr.com/post/4eac40f5ace10ec46c05ff82d7a4b99d607422ced12f14075855d6a200...
