It's not really that easy, at least that's what I gathered from some YouTube videos.
There are some costs in fees and taxes, and most of these houses are in the middle of nowhere or need lots of renovations.
But otherwise you are right 😇
You might get a house for free, pay 40k USD for the taxes and what not, and then you just gut to fix it up.
Oh and you have to leave a lot since you can't just stay in Japan for to long.
