Your putting the cart before the horse. Don't worry about how this (bitcoin) works in the background. Just setup your artist profile in Fountain. That is your wallet for now. How the sausage is made will require reading and understanding. Start with Gigi's 21 lessons when that time comes. You all are not there yet. Worry about the music first and getting it uploaded properly.

To keep things easier for now just use Fountain.

Just do what you're doing now to upload and self host and we as the podcasters will make sure you are getting value back with boostagrams so you can read the feedback.

Thats what happened last year, alby decided to get out of the MTL game and pulled their wallet which was 99% of all the P2.0 apps So we switched to AlbyHub via our nodes to still boost through those apps via albyhub. Regular listeners who only listen via Fountain won't notice anything. It affects the podcasters and people running nodes the most. If you as the music artist wants to recieve the feedback loop from nodes, the keysend has to be in the splits somewhere. You can still have a LN address but not by itself if you never want to know what people are boosting and saying about your music. Unless its from Fountain to Fointain only. I can not send a boostagram from my node via albyhub to lnurl only addresses. It never goes through no matter which app I use. The payment fails everytime. The solution stands, until the protocol keysend has officially been removed from the LN those devs at LN Labs, it still works. So dont change what works. Nobody has a solution for the lnurl info or streaming stats with that protocol. Nostr doesn't fix it either. The bitcoin network runs on nodes, not relays. Imo, lnurl is basic P2P lightning transactions. Without the boostagrams.
