I posted a video explaining 9 reasons why 'we shouldn’t keep money in banks.'
Most comments thanked me,
but there were also many comments from people who are very confident that banks won’t fail and completely trust them.
I feel really discouraged.

It’s not just users—content creators are addicted too, especially to engagement.
Right now, Nostr doesn’t provide the level of engagement they expect.

My assumption is that most people today are addicted to dopamine—
to the point where they feel the need to scroll “For You” feeds every hour.
Nostr doesn’t reinforce that kind of behavior, which is probably why most people aren’t moving here.
But at the same time, I don’t want us to build that kind of feed either.
I’m not sure which problem we should be solving—
because helping people break that addiction feels like a very heavy task.

I totally get that. Feeds like this are the same for everyone at any given time—they’re not personalized.
The upside is that it doesn’t drive dopamine addiction.
The downside… most people are still addicted to it.

Actually, many apps already have that. For example, Wisp’s “Trending” feed can be sorted by the amount of sats zapped to notes.

Honestly, the apps are already appealing. My assumption is that most people today are addicted to dopamine.
They’re so hooked that they can’t function without endlessly scrolling the “For You” feeds on mainstream social media.
