I haven't had a single issue running the bleeding edge release of Debian. Perfectly stable. I customize it how I want and there's no extra bloatware that I don't want.

The most stable system I have ever used is Qubes OS.

It is made for privacy, but if you stretch it a little bit it can become a monster.
Personally I use disposable VMs with Brave to watch Youtube and Mullvad for scraping the news sites. I got a VM isolated from everywhere for my personal and security documents, then another VM for internet forums and another VM for the social, email and other stuff.

But for me the most valuable feature is migrating. You can backup your VMs upgrade the OS and restore than like it nothing happend ( for an hour ). You can switch distros ... as long as the VM with the home directory is backed up ... everything is good.

I got no single point of fail. You literally can backup everything to a usb drive, go to Tora Bora and reinstall your system on a local computer without internet and you will have your pc experience without a problem

Qubes is great! It's been several years since I've used it but I imagine it's only gotten better. It's not something I would recommend to anybody unless they're technically proficient enough to manage it.

You can't blame a machine that create something cheaper than you.

Unfortunately we live in a material world, people needs everything cheap, regardless its junk.

When we switch from capital based system to a value based system then we will achieve the utopia we are looking for. Until then the name of the game is get buried with as much cash as possible when you die, nothing else matters. Not the nature, not the nurture, just the Benjamins.
