He holds an LLB, Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning and Postgraduate Certificate in Social Security & Pensions. He has been professionally certified as a legal practitioner, financial planner and fiduciary practitioner.
Almo has also authored sections in two legal academic publications - Juta & LexisNexis, specially focusing on regulation, including a roadmap on digital asset regulatory developments in South Africa.
