No they do help a little, it’s just sugar and antimicrobial. But it’s basically the same thing as sprite so I tell people just use lemon lime soda instead of buying flower food packets

I’ve used hot water for hellebores and dahlias to hydrate them faster and it’s worked. It’s worth a shot. Also add an ounce or two of sprite or 7up in the vase of water to provide sugar and citric acid to kill bacteria.

That seems to happen because of bacteria clogging the stems from my knowledge. I would give the stems a fresh cut 1-2” before putting them in water and putting them in hot water. That has worked with other flowers so worth a try. But also, buy from a local grower/farmers market if you can and quality will usually be much better

Growing them. Got the tubers from a broker who sources from Italy. Very expensive plants but great quality

I’m sympathetic to the “old European aristocratic bankers still run the world” take, central banks are the worlds biggest cartel. But the ass covering he’s doing for the current administration is starting to get old, and some of these actions are indefensible. Such a shame when brilliant minds are so overcome by their desire to see their enemies fall that they become like their enemies.
