All of this nonsense about getting kids off social media is really just a cover for not legislating the social media companies to make the spaces safe for everyone.

They of course, don't want that as it would affect profits.

Explain again how profits are more important to a society than safe spaces?

Saturday #Workout:
10 minutes of yoga.
22.8 KM of #Cycling (25°C, 28 humidex, 50% humidity, and 14 KM/H wind).

Morning of reading and tea, a longer ride than I've been getting lately, and then, off to a celebration of life for one of the people I worked with for years during #FestivalLife who was kind to me when I started out. Thirty-eight is too young.

I don't like funerals or things like this; too many people and I don't process grief this way, so it's always an awkward social thing for me.

I'm pleased to report that we had fourteen folks show up for the #OttawaMeetup, proving that if you say you'll stand in a park in an orange shirt, people will come. No, I will not stand on the picnic table. 🤣

Thank you to all who took time out of their weekend to come out and say hello in meatspace. Even got a group photo of those who were willing.

Uncertain if we are all axe murderers on good behaviour. …or just good folk who care about community. 🖖🏻

Here's a question for the #RepairCafe-type folks here; I took apart a clock/radio with a dead battery in it, with the intention of picking up a replacement.

The battery has absolutely no markings on it at all. The manual says it's a 800 mAh LI rechargeable, but no mention of voltage (I suspect ~3.7V), and no hints on the circuitboard.

Battery is completely dead; doesn't move the voltmetre at all. Completely dead.

How could I confirm it's 3.7V? (or something else?)
