Prompted by @nprofile1q...' encouragement, I've written about popovers and the backdrop psuedo selector and how I think…it can lead to anti-patterns, it certainly did for me.
It's interesting that Mastodon has strong support for accessibility (i.e. blocking posts without alt text - yes, I know bsky can be turned on too, slightly harder UX I think), yet on Masto, you can't add subtitles to video, whereas you can add a vtt file on bsky.
