@nprofile1q... oooh, yeah, masonry with js. we (ffconf) used it for this https://ffconf.org/photos/ - but that's pretty much the only use case (as @nprofile1q... pointed out to me earlier - and I'm inclined to agree)

It's interesting that Mastodon has strong support for accessibility (i.e. blocking posts without alt text - yes, I know bsky can be turned on too, slightly harder UX I think), yet on Masto, you can't add subtitles to video, whereas you can add a vtt file on bsky.
