Even when I use the preview option, the post still appears without a thumbnail. When I share the same link in other Nostr apps like Amethyst, the thumbnail preview shows normally.

So I’m trying to understand why this is happening in Yakihonne. I would really like to use Yakihonne as my default Nostr app, but the missing thumbnails make it less atractive to share then. Is it the relay/server where media get uploaded?

You can try using another app, one that you know renders thumbnails, and see if it shows up. If it does, you know it has something to do with the client. If it doesn’t, the issue is most likely the ...

I tested this. In Amethyst the link preview shows a thumbnail, but in Primal it does not — similar to what I see here in Yakihonne. I would like to use Yakihonne as my default Nostr app, but I’m trying to understand why there is no thumbnail preview when I share a link.

It looks like the boys(and girls)of YakiHonne have addressed your issue, hopefully you got it sorted out, if it is something on their end I am sure they will fix it. Primal is a shit show, stay away from that client. 😛 May I also suggest you check out nostr:nprofile1qqsdr0fnxvmn8hxyz8cwazfm8zu9y...
