Ferment vs. foment, I’m likely doing one or the other quietly and slowly. Some posts are politics if vital news. Terry Pratchett fan. I like rocks. I really really like rocks. Very Antifa. Wish me luck? My second try at sous vide since the chicken breast was amazing. Now I have 2 chuck roasts going for about 32 hours at 140°. Chain mail cast iron pan scrubbers are weighing them down. The silicone mats are giving a bit extra insulation.

The quaint print on the wall? My grandma’s calendar print I framed and always have in my kitchen in memory of her. #Roast #Cooking #SousVide #Meat #SundayDinner

does the water circulate around the food sufficiently with those weights? I try to keep them submerged but not stuck to the bottom.

I subscribe to the US version because it is occasionally more “fair” and does cover some events and policies that mainstream US MSM is afraid to publish or censored or suppressed. Since 2015 I’ve had to rely on “news” sources based anywhere but the US. Is a lot of work for Americans to search out news and important decisions and events the US media will not cover.

One day I hope to see and enjoy a beautiful sunset like you share so often, at least to me it seems like many. But my part of Arizona really has not had beautiful sunsets on a regular basis for years. I think it is climate change doing this. I’ll share a link to a very old sunset photo I took in a simple camera in Tucson. This one was magical to me. My memory still holds these special moments of joy on being present in a beautiful sunsets

Axon located here in Phoenix area—became famous for “taser”. So very many security services are owned here in Arizona corporate headquarters. You bet the area sheriff’s, deputies and even local cops are quite happy to use their services and equipment.

Just learned cities in this area who are using Flock camera systems are breaking contacts when citizens of the suburb protest loudly. However a sharp-eyed citizen realizes divesting from Flock occurred at the same time a mysterious $6 million or so appeared as miscellaneous in Tempe budget auditing and public records for Axon. Found out Axon is also selling camera surveillance systems now.

I certainly hope most Dems outside of California see Newsom as a dank reptile. It would be ludicrous to promote him for a federal elected position. I’m sure he will leave his governor post to be a “consultant” or lobbyist well-funded by a mega corporation.

He's an opportunistic ghoul who just happens to have a D next to his name. He's not trying to solve problems for people. I'm not a fan, and if my state has any say in the nomination by the time we get to vote, I will vote for nearly any other D first. #USPol

I spent more time alone with my grandson (16) than I ever got to have while he helped Drew and I get to the family doctor Thursday. He was exceptionally patient and kind with his uncle. I hadn’t expected it but he even helped with toileting. He’s 16 and I can tell he’s really questioning both his future and also openly appreciating family. He just got back a month ago on a 3 week volunteering trip to Peru to help improve a few very poor schools in 2 villages. These experiences our grandsons are having as teens will have so much impact on their lives! He too feels as your grandson expressed.

In the US a very basic weekly food budget for a single person changed dramatically between 1970 and the present. Shared are 3 of the 7 photos a Reddit member shared to illustrate their comments. I was shocked because:

“Can confirm. In 1970 | was a very poor college student living off campus. That first photo labeled 1970 looked like my weekly grocery shopping. I exactly had $10 as my food budget! And, if I wanted to go to a rock concert I had to save the money from the weekly grocery budget. I DID get to see a lot of greats. Stones/Jefferson Airplane/ Moody Blues etc. it was worth almost starving then, ha-ha!”

With the additional caveat that if you buy inexpensive eggs today, they go off in about a week and won't make good peaks.
