Football fans should stop moaning about VAR. It exists because they moaned about wrong decisions. Also F1 fans moaning about overtaking now being too easy. They moaned that there wasn't enough before.

@nprofile1q... VAR seemed like a good idea, because of the hope that it could eliminate wrong decisions. Several years in, it's apparent that it can't. So, yes, it makes perfect sense that people who wanted it (me included) now want rid. A failed experiment is still a success.

@nprofile1q... After a bit of research, it seems that running a freezer is a roughly constant cost in terms of keeping things down to temperature — but each new bit of mass added costs to bring it down to temperature in the first place.
